Memo 618

"Memo 618" is a piece I created based on my dissertation at Farnham Film School. The idea emerged while reading a book by Joe Navarro about the human experience and how body language and facial expressions can reveal a person's feelings.

I wanted to explore whether a combination of acting skills and Navarro's studies could be applied in the public sphere, particularly in creating characters in politics or celebrity. After interviewing actors, playwrights, and working politicians, I was able to develop a script based on the insights from those interviews.

"Memo 618" follows the spouse of a politician and examines how they use theatrical techniques to secure power for themselves, often at the expense of those around them.
